OSUSTECH JAC Demand Release of Kidnapped Varsity Don

A lecturer of Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa Prof. Gideon Okedayo was reportedly kidnapped around 6.30pm on Thursday, 5th of September, 2019 on his way to Igara in Kogi State. In a press release signed by the Chairman, Joint Action Committee of Staff Unions in OSUSTECH, Comrade Dayo Temola, obtained by SunshineReporters, the unions expressed shock and disbelief. 

"Professor Gideon Okedayo is a thorough bred academics who has and still contributing to growth of education in Nigerian and beyond. We therefore think that in all honesty,he deserve no place in this heinous act of man's inhumanity to man." the statement reads.

Temola also called on Government and relevant security agencies to fast track his unconditional release.

"We further add that the security agencies on our road should be proactive and go beyond routine check and wrangling of innocent citizens but rather become a terror to this ravaging men of underworld." he added.
