All gubernatorial aspirants of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) will rally round the winner of the party's primary, Dr. Eddy Eniola Olafeso, the National Vice Chairman (South West) and a gubernatorial aspirant of the party, has said.
Olafeso spoke at Owo LG PDP Secretariat when his campaign tour of local governments berthed at the ancient town of Owo. "I have been in this party for long and I have never contemplated leaving. So, be rest assured I'm not desperate to win the primary. Irrespective of the outcome, we will rally all other aspirants behind the winner of the primary. Our priority is to get the sun to shine again in Ondo State."
Meanwhile, a two time member of the Federal House of Representatives and a leader of PDP in Owo, Hon. Lad-Ojomo has described the performance of the incumbent Governor as having failed the people of Owo. He also spoke at the tour event of Dr. Olafeso. "All the projects Akeredolu is bragging about to have effected in Owo were all almost completed by previous PDP administrations in the State. Tell me one single project he started from scratch here in Owo where he is from? He has failed and we will not glorify his failure by being nepotic." he said.
At the event were former minister of the Federal republic, Chief. Abitoye, Hon. Lad-Ojomo, Prince Nekan Olateru-Olagbegi, local government executives of the party, all ward chairmen, all women and youth leaders, stakeholders and leaders of the party in Owo and beyond.
