The National Vice Chairman (South West) of the People's Democratic Party and a gubernatorial aspirant in Ondo State, Dr. Eddy Eniola Olafeso began his tour of local governments across Ondo State on Tuesday with a visit to the LG party Secretariat of Ose Local Government in Ifon. Olafeso had informed the elders council of the party in the state on Monday of the tour at a meeting he had with them at the State Party Secretariat of the party in Akure.
Olafeso, while addressing the unprecedented crowd that welcomed him at Ifon, explained his choice of Ose as the first LG to visit. "We have decided to start this tour from here in Ose to recognize the sacrifices Ose sons and daughters have given this party from it's formation. Ose is the home of PDP in Ondo State. Ose is the home of many of our leaders who were unwavering in their support for my boss and leader, Dr. Agagu. Being an Ikale man, my progenitors were from Okeluse here in Ose, so I am an Ose man."
"Security, education, human capital development, rural and urban development, industrialisation, employment forms our agenda and those who know me can attest to the fact that I will not say that which I can not do. I have not come to campaign, I have come to inform you I am in the race and in it to win." He added.
Berating the ineffectiveness of the incumbent administration, Olafeso expressed worry over the state of the linkage roads in the LG, the death of the Ifon seramic etc.
The Chairman of PDP in Ose Local Government, Elder Kole Aborowa thanked Olafeso and eulogized him as a leader worthy of emulation and deserving of support. "On behalf of my leaders in Ose, I assure you of our support. Hence our assembling of statutory delegates here to meet you. Our state is regressing, we are preparing not to let it continue."
Present were leaders of the party across all wards of Ose, the ward chairmen, the women and youth leaders.
