The campaign organization of the former South West Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and a leading gubernatorial aspirant, Dr. Eddy Olafeso has urged Party faithfuls to disregard rumours making mills that it's principal has stepped down for a particular aspirant.
In a press release signed by Mr. Ayo Fadaka, Chairman of the Media Committee, the rumours are said "not to be true and patently false".
"We therefore emphatically declare that Eddy Olafeso is certainly contesting to win the primary election."
"Much as we know that this shallow deception cannot sell, we are compelled to put the records straight."
While urging delegates and leaders of the party to recall the "long painstaking years of service of Olafeso" Fadaka urged Party faithfuls to "reward him with their votes during the primary election." he added
"The PDP can only underscore its strong desires to win the next Gubernatorial election if it picks Eddy Olafeso as its candidate in the
10the October 2020 election." He said.
