#Ondo2024: Thugs Caught on Camera Destroying Ifeoluwa Oyedele's Posters, Campaign Organization Condemns Act

The Ifeoluwa Oyedele Campaign Organization has condemned the destruction of posters belonging to their candidate in the 2024 governorship in Ondo State.

As captured on tape today, on Sunday, April 14th, 2024, alarming footage emerged capturing thugs ruthlessly tearing down posters along Airport Road in Akure. These posters belonged to Engr. IfeOluwa Oyedele, a prominent contender in the APC Governorship Primary.

Hon. Segun Olukoju, the DG of the campaign organization, in a statement made available to the press, said the act raises grave concerns about the state of democracy in the State. He condemned the act as totally unethical and unsportsmanlike, questioning whoever sponsored the thugs.

"Who are these individuals, so afraid of the impending loss in the primary, that they stoop to such cowardly tactics? Democracy thrives on fair competition and respect for the choices of the people, not on acts of violence and intimidation," Olukoju commented.

The group said security forces have been provided with the identities of the individuals in the tape and their sponsors, stating they would be held accountable for their disgraceful act.

"We, at the Ifeoluwa Oyedele Campaign Organisation, are unyielding in our commitment to upholding the fundamental principles of democracy and fostering peaceful coexistence in Ondo State. Those who promote violence are unworthy to lead the people of Ondo State," the group concluded.
