Thousands of APC members trooped into the PDP train today at Akure town hall, old garage Akure while lamenting their stay in APC as wasted years. This is contained in a statement issued to newsmen in Akure, the Ondo State capital on Wednesday evening and signed by Leye Igbabo, the Director of Media and Publicity, PDP Ondo State.
Leaders of each group came out one after the other to recount their pains and suffering in the hands of their former party as their lives became battered and hopes shattered due to APC's misrule.
Mr Ajonijebu Ademola, Comrade Mayowa Boboye popularly called Katike, and other leaders of the groups, however expressed their joy and relief as they bid bye-bye to APC while assuring PDP of their readiness to mobilize and deliver their votes for the gubernatorial candidate of the party, His Excellency, Hon Agboola Alfred Ajayi in the November 16, 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo State.
Receiving the new members into the party, the State Acting Chairman, Basorun Tola Alabere appreciated their foresight and boldness to move from darkness into the marvelous light insisting that everything that APC represents is retrogression, disease.hunger and starvation. Alabere assured the new members of equal rights and equal opportunities within the party while urging them to start the work in earnest as they move to their wards and units.
The gubernatorial candidate of our party, H.E Agboola Alfred Ajayi said the affliction brought by APCs visionless governance is huge but encouraged the good people of Ondo State to be of good cheer as his government is well positoined to turn things around for the better. He flaunted his rich experience in governance and assured the joiners of an inclusive government, where no one shall be left out.
