An Ondo Ekimogun Association in DMV United States of America has thrown its weight behind the accountability project embarked upon by the Ekimogun Roundtable in the community describing them as a reincarnate of the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi (Senior Advocate of the Masses) who stood firmly and strongly on the tenets of probity, truth and accountability throughout his lifetime.
The Diaspora group of Ondo Indigenes in the United States of America made this known through a statement sent to newsmen by its president Mr Omotayo Akinkugbe.
In the statement, Mr Akinkugbe says that with what is in the public glare, Ekimogun Roundtable is not asking for too much by demanding for accountability from Hon Abiola Makinde.
To us, Honorable Makinde is not helping himself and the community by evading his constituents’ enquiries, the core essence of leadership is accountability, hence, he should be honorable enough to present himself for public scrutiny. Instead of answering simple questions bothering on his plenary attendance and commitment to effective legislative duties, he is busy chasing shadows and sponsoring all kinds of groups to attack the Roundtable who are only asking for him to confirm or deny all allegations against him.
The Ekimogun Roundtable are asking simple and basic questions borderig on his legislative performance and constituency projects handling, instead of Hon Makinde to respond, he resulted to cheap blackmail, this is a serious disservice on the part of hon Makinde.
The Ondo Ekimogun Association DMV wishes to commend the Ekimogun Roundtable on the good works they are doing for the kingdom and encourage them not to relent on their efforts to ensure probity and accountability in Representation despite the attacks and campaign of calumny from Hon Abiola Makinde and his co-travelers.
