The Ondo State Youth Network (OSYN) is in mourning following the untimely passing of one of its founding members, Ebun Adenegan Esq., who passed away on November 25, 2024, after a prolonged illness. He was 42 years old.
Adenegan, born on January 16, 1982, was a beloved figure within the OSYN community and beyond. He was known for his" brilliance, sharp wit, and contributions to student politics, particularly in Ondo State". An alumnus of Delta State University, Abraka, Ebun was in Nigerian Law School at the time of his death, fervently pursuing his dream of becoming a lawyer.
A deeply cherished individual, Ebun’s legacy is tied to his tireless dedication to the development of Apoiland, Ese Odo LG and Ondo State generally. He was actively involved in the leadership of Federation of Ese Odo Local Government Students(FELGOS) and played a key role in shaping the political landscape for students in Ondo State. His impact on student governance and politics will never be forgotten.
His passing is a major loss for the OSYN, with many of its members expressing grief over the sudden and painful loss. “It's indeed a somber day for OSYN family as we mourn the loss of one of our foundational members. Ebun's passing is a tremendous loss. Brilliant mind, sharp wit. Ebun Adenegan’s legacy as a passionate advocate for student rights, a dedicated member of the OSYN, and a visionary individual will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.” said Christopher Olusa, Public Relations Officer of OSYN.
Ebun’s family, friends, and loved ones are in the thoughts of the entire OSYN community as they navigate this difficult time. The organization has expressed its unwavering support for the grieving family and has pledged to stand by them in the coming days. Funeral and interment details will be shared in the coming days as arrangements are made. The OSYN has called on members and the wider public to offer their condolences and support to Ebun’s family during this sorrowful period.
