Ondo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, has commenced the Cambridge Advanced Leadership Programme at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, as part of efforts to deepen his leadership capacity and strengthen his approach to public service and institutional reforms.
Ajulo disclosed this in a statement reflecting on the commencement of the programme, describing the opportunity as a new chapter in his professional journey and a platform for intellectual engagement, personal development and the exchange of ideas.
The legal practitioner said his experience across the legal profession, public service, institutional reform and leadership had reinforced his belief that effective leadership required continuous learning, reflection and openness to new perspectives.
According to him, the programme would provide opportunities to engage with accomplished professionals from different countries, backgrounds and fields of endeavour, while exploring innovative approaches to leadership, governance, institutional development and the delivery of public value.
He noted that leadership in an increasingly complex and changing world demanded more than experience and confidence, stressing the importance of questioning existing assumptions, listening to diverse perspectives and embracing new ideas.
Ajulo expressed particular interest in applying the knowledge and insights gained from the programme to his responsibilities as Ondo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, especially in strengthening public institutions and advancing sustainable reforms.
“I arrive in Cambridge not merely with the experience of the years behind me, but with the curiosity of a student and the determination to become a better leader,” he said.
He added that he looked forward to the conversations, challenges, professional relationships and lessons the programme would offer, emphasising that leadership should be understood as a continuing process of learning, growth and service.
The Cambridge Advanced Leadership Programme is expected to provide a platform for professional engagement and the exchange of leadership perspectives, with Ajulo expressing optimism that the experience would further enrich his contributions to governance and public service in Ondo State.
