Okeluse town in Ose Local Government area of Ondo state has revealed its new King.
Prince Adeyeoba Oloyede Adekoya, Akinghare II will be crowned the OJIMA Arujale of Okeluse Kingdom. The newly announced King is an Senior Secondary School 2 student.
An insider source was quoted as saying, “It finally came to an end yesterday to install a new king for the ancient kingdom of Okeluse. Traditionally, the heir to the throne is unnegotiable & uncontested for; just yesterday, His Royal Majesty, Oba Oloyede Akinghare II ascended the throne after his 90 days in exile (away from the palace) to perform all necessary traditional rites.”
“He was crowned amidst surprises, the regent, who had been ruling the kingdom is now THE ‘ISHAYO’ meaning the king to the females.
“Other traditional rites are still ongoing till the coronation. Everything was done accordingly, a shower of blessings came from above throughout the installation.”
The latest and youngest ever king in Ondo state is expected to be given a Staff of Office by the Governor immediately the traditional rites are completed.
