will still happen to you from where you are. This is why we must all work together to get our country working so we can be proud enough to leave where ever we are if at any point we’re not treated. But right now as it is we have to endure what ever we see anywhere we go because home isn’t better, in fact home is worse…
Sometimes you won’t even know how bad we’ve normalised evil in Nigeria until we get to a functioning society. We then realise that most things we pray for at least 50-70% of those things are not things we should be praying and struggling for. A good government will reduce prayer request from religious houses…
One good advice I heard a girl give another girl was
“If you ever go out on a date with a man make sure you carry vex money” just in case things go south you can make sure you pay your bills and go back home in your own transport. This is how everyone leaving Nigeria should actually be doing. If things go south wherever you are you can simply pack up knowing that you’ve got a place to call home where you can have even the barest minimum chance to make it and live comfortably in peace.
But you see Nigeria doesn’t give you that option currently, if you japa it’s either you make it there or never dream to go back again because there’s nothing go back to as it stance now. If it’s not insecurity, it’s poor healthcare or shared wickedness of people governing the systems and making it sure you can’t survive. Poverty is weaponised against the common man and even the rich cannot really survive because if you’re not in power anything can happen to you.
