
Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of Pastor Segun Ayerin as Chairman of the Ondo State Local Government Service Commission and Mr Oluyemi Fashipe, popularly known as YemieFash, as Chairman of the Ondo State Consumer Protection Agency.
The appointments, contained in a statement issued on Friday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, take immediate effect.
Aiyedatiwa also approved the appointment of Mr Femi Fadairo as Special Adviser on Special Duties and Strategy, replacing Hon. Gani Mohammed, who has been redeployed as Special Adviser on Mines and Mineral Resources.
The governor further approved new appointments to the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board, the Ondo State Muslim Welfare Board and the Ondo State Christian Welfare Board.
For the Local Government Service Commission, Ayerin will be joined by Dr Bunmi Eniayewu, Barr. Ogbaro Oyerinde, Mrs Ronke Ojo and Mr Alonge Niyi Dennis as members.
Mrs Brown Ademilegun was appointed full-time Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Board, with Hon. Christopher Olorunfemi and Dr Olarewaju Oyelade appointed full-time members. Hon. Tayo Fayanju, Hon. Maurice Oripelaye, representing ALGON, and Comrade Ayodele Samuel Leke, representing the Nigeria Union of Teachers, were appointed part-time members alongside other statutory members.
The Muslim Welfare Board has Alhaji Adam Chandy as Chairman, with Alhaji Muhammad Kamaldeen Akinyemi, Alhaji Akorede Nuren Olatunde, Alhaja Fausat Olorunyomi and Alhaji Abdulrasheed Olawoye as members.
Similarly, Pastor Peter Abimbola was appointed Chairman of the Christian Welfare Board, with Rev. Fr. Patrick Adebayo, Pastor Mrs Omoyemi Bosede Ore, Prophet Emilere Arabija Aiyedatiwa and Rev. Jide Baptist as members.
Fashipe, widely known as YemieFash, was appointed Chairman of the Ondo State Consumer Protection Agency.
The governor congratulated the appointees and charged them to discharge their responsibilities with dedication and transparency and in the best interest of the people of the state.
The appointments take immediate effect.
