The Vice-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Prof. Olugbenga Ige, has confirmed the receipt of financial support from Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, towards the construction of the university’s Legacy Hostel Project.
The development was disclosed by former Students’ Union Government (SUG) President of the university and a member of staff, Kayode Ogunade, who announced that the institution had received the donation from the renowned cleric.
According to the information shared by Ogunade, the intervention is expected to provide a significant boost to the ongoing Legacy Hostel Project, which is aimed at expanding on-campus accommodation and improving students’ welfare.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ige, expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a timely contribution that would support the university’s infrastructure development efforts and enhance the quality of living for students on campus.
The Legacy Hostel Project is one of the key initiatives of the university to address accommodation challenges and provide a more conducive environment for learning.
The donation has been widely welcomed by members of the university community, who described Pastor Adeboye’s support as a commendable demonstration of his commitment to educational development and youth empowerment.
