Several community-based, youth, women and professional groups in Akure have declared their readiness to work for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election by partnering with Akure Youths for BTO.
The groups, drawn from different sectors and communities across Akure, said they are committed to strengthening grassroots mobilization, voter education and advocacy in support of the President’s second-term bid.
The organizations include NEPA Unity Forum, Akure Victory Group, Citizens for Good Governance, Akure Democracy Defenders, Ifesowapo Group, St. Luke/Sijuwade, Akoko Forum for BTO, BTO Vanguard, Isikan Market Women, Alamoye Youth Forum, BTO Women Alliance, FUTA Iloyin Community, The IMPACT Initiative, Lion of Bourdilon Waves, NSF Group for BTO, BTO Babes, and Oyo, Osun, Ilorin Traders for BTO-Akure Chapter.
According to the coalition, the groups will work directly with Akure Youths for BTO to coordinate grassroots engagements, community meetings, public enlightenment campaigns, rallies and other strategic activities aimed at promoting the achievements and policies of the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The coalition noted that bringing together different associations under a common platform would enhance coordination, improve outreach and ensure that campaign activities effectively reach every part of Akure and its surrounding communities.
Akure Youths for BTO also used the opportunity to invite other Akure-based associations, professional bodies, market groups, youth organizations, community development associations, religious groups and socio-cultural organizations to join the growing movement.
The group assured interested organizations that the necessary support required to sustain their activities, including campaign materials, advocacy resources, meeting logistics and mobilization support, would be provided to enable them actively participate in promoting the reelection of President Tinubu.
Speaking on the development, Akure Youths for BTO Convener, Alhaji Saliu Adekunle, described the growing partnership as a reflection of increasing grassroots support for President Tinubu, expressing confidence that a united front among community groups would further strengthen the campaign structure in Akure.
The group reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful, issue-based political engagement and called on residents to continue supporting initiatives aimed at promoting development, democratic participation and good governance as the 2027 reelection of President Tinubu nears.
