2027: Akoko North-West Targets 90% Support for Tinubu, Says APC Chieftain

An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, Adojutelegan Adesuyi Gideon, has said the constituency is targeting 90 per cent voter support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Adojutelegan, an APC leader in Arigidi/Iye Ward 1, said the target reflected his political aspiration for the constituency and his commitment to grassroots mobilisation ahead of the elections.

He said the people of Akoko North-West intended to use the ballot to demonstrate their appreciation to Tinubu for his leadership and the appointment of an indigene of the area, Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, as Minister of Interior.

According to him, the ministerial appointment represents an important opportunity for the constituency to have a voice in the Federal Government, adding that residents should express their political choices through active participation in the democratic process.

“Akoko North-West is committed to delivering 90 per cent voter support in Ondo State in the 2027 general elections. We intend to demonstrate our appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through our participation in the democratic process, particularly in recognition of his leadership and the appointment of our own Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo as Minister of Interior,” he said.

The APC chieftain stressed that achieving the proposed target would require sustained grassroots mobilisation, voter education and political awareness across the constituency.

He also called for unity, inclusiveness and cooperation among party stakeholders, noting that the party’s grassroots structures would play an important role in mobilising support ahead of the elections.

Adojutelegan reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the APC’s presence in Arigidi/Iye Ward 1 and other parts of Akoko North-West, saying that effective political mobilisation required organisation and collaboration among party members.

He expressed confidence that the people of the constituency would have the opportunity to make their choices at the polls in 2027.

The APC leader’s statement comes as political parties and their stakeholders begin to articulate their mobilisation strategies ahead of the next general elections.
