  • Donald Trump accuses President Obama of being the ‘founder of ISIS and Hillary Clinton, the co-founder’

Donald Trump accuses President Obama of being the ‘founder of ISIS and Hillary Clinton, the co-founder’

Donald Trump on Wednesday, accused President Barack Obama of founding
the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group,
ISIS. The Republican candidate emphasized the president’s full legal
name: Barack Hussein Obama, in the latest attack on the White House
    campaign trail.

“In many respects, you know, they honour President Obama,” Trump said
during a raucous campaign rally outside Fort Lauderdale, Florida. “He
    is the founder of ISIS.”
He repeated the allegation three times.
“He’s the founder of ISIS, okay?” he added. “He’s the founder. He founded ISIS.”
Trump has long blamed Obama and his former Secretary of State Hillary
Clinton for pursuing Middle East policies that created a power vacuum
in Iraq that was exploited by ISIL. He has sharply criticised Obama for announcing that he would pull
US troops out of Iraq, a decision that many Obama critics say created
the kind of instability in which groups such as ISIL thrive.
    “We
should never have gotten out the way we got out.” he added. “We
unleashed terrible fury all over the Middle East. Instead of allowing
some small forces behind to maybe just maybe, keep it under control, we
    pulled it out.”

The New York businessman went on to criticise Clinton, his Democratic party rival for the presidency.
“And I would say, the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton,”
he said. Trump railed at both Obama and Clinton for refusing to put a
    name to radical Islamic terrorism.
    “Our
president refuses to use the term. Every time another event happens, I
keep saying, I wonder if he’s gonna say it this time. And he doesn’t say
it. And Hillary won’t say it either. She doesn’t want to say it cause
she doesn’t want to offend the president, because then bad things could
happen to her if she offends the president. Bad things could happen to
her. So, she’s afraid to say it. Hillary is afraid to say it. She did
say that she would say it because of me, but she’s afraid to say it.
But, we have a real problem with radical Islamic terror. It’s what it
    is. It’s terror.”
    Whipping his supporters into a
frenzy, Trump pointed out that the father of Orlando gunmen was spotted
at a Clinton campaign event on Monday.
    “Of
course he likes Clinton because she won’t say the words radical Islamic
terrorism,” said Trump. “Wasn’t it terrible when the father of the
animal that killed the wonderful people in Orlando was sitting with a
smile on his face right behind Hillary Clinton?”
The White House refused to comment on Trump’s latest claim. Trump has been criticised over the past week for comments he made
suggesting gun rights advocates could stop Clinton from becoming
president and picking new, anti-gun Supreme Court judges, by using their
second amendment rights, which allow them to bear arms.
“Hillary wants to essentially abolish the Second Amendment,” Trump told a rally in North Carolina.
“If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks,” Trump
said. “Although the Second Amendment people – maybe there is, I don’t
    know.”
Trump’s campaign spokesman later denied allegations that the comments were advocating for Clinton to be assassinated.

Photos: Man ran over his wife, crushing her leg after accusing her of having affair with a politician

Margaret Wambui, who has been detained at Nairobi Women’s Hospital
for four months over unpaid bill, has accused her husband of running
over her with a minibus after he accused her of infidelity.
The 37-year-old mother of four claims she was attacked
by her husband, Stephen Gichuhi on February 18, this year.
Mr Gichuhi, then a bus driver plying the Wangige-Kiambu route asked her to accompany him to visit a
neighbour but instead drove to the home of a politician he accused her
    of having a relationship with.

The politician confirmed to The Standard that the couple visited his house at around 7pm.
“They found me unpacking things from my car. I asked them if they
needed any help. I thought they had come, just like many other
constituents, looking for help. The man said the person they had come to
see was not there. He then directed his wife to get into the matatu,”
    the politician said.
    Ms
Wambui said they had a confrontation outside the politician’s home as
her husband accused her of having an affair with the man and warned that
he would not share her with other men while he was still
    alive and sped off.
“After a few metres, he opened the passenger door and violently
pushed me out. I was not expecting this and clung desperately to the
door which was swinging. Then I fell.”
When Wambui fell, Gichuhi stopped the bus, reversed and
ran over her right leg, crushing it. He reversed again and drove over
the leg a second time. An eyewitness, Julius Kimani was driving by and claims to have witnessed the
    incident.
“I was coming from the highway
and had just branched into a
feeder road. Then I saw a speeding matatu. The driver pulled over and
started reversing as if he was looking for a way out as my vehicle was
blocking the exit. I saw a woman clinging to the door of the matatu but
then she fell. The driver reversed and ran over the woman’s leg.”
Kimani jumped out of the vehicle screaming as Mr Gishuhi ran over his wife’s leg a second time.
“I ran towards the driver and who started attacking me with his car
keys but with the help of my brother, Joseph Maina, we subdued him,
grabbed the keys and forced him to sit in the back of the vehicle.”
While his brother took over the bus at
the scene, Kimani asked Gichuhi if he had money to so they could take the victim to the hospital but he said he had no money.
“I reassured him not to worry as I would show him where the money
would come from. As I slowed down at some bumps before entering Kikuyu
Police Station, he opened the door and vanished,”
He drove to the nearest police station and two police officers
accompanied them to Kikuyu Hospital. Wambui’s mother, Mary Nyambura,
said she received the news the next day that her daughter had been
    admitted to the hospital.
Ms Nyambura claimed that police at Kikuyu Police Station have
never recorded the incident in the Occurrence Book and issued an
“irrelevant” P3 form not captured in their records. When she went to the
police a few days later, she found the matatu had been released to
Gichuhi who has never been arrested.
Ms Nyambura said her daughter was admitted in hospital for two months
and re-admitted at Nairobi Women’s Hospital after the leg developed
    complications.
She said even after traffic police at the station wrote a report, they said the incident was an accident.
“When I demanded the OB number, they gave me the wrong one referenced
46/18/2016. And after going to several offices within the police
station, I realised the OB was recorded in reference to six people who
had been arrested for being drunk and causing disturbance,”  Nyambura
    said.
Kikuyu OCPD Brigen Kiptoo said the injury was as a result of a domestic violence, not an accident.
“Both the accused and the victim gave conflicting statements. There
were only two people in the vehicle and this is a complicated case,” he
    said.
Meanwhile, the politician said the infidelity allegation was being used by his opponents to end his political career.

Parents blast Iraqi government after 11 premature babies die from Hospital fire outbreak

At least 11 premature babies have been killed after fire engulfed a
hospital in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, hospital and police officials
    say.

The fire which broke out late on Tuesday
inside the maternity unit at the Yarmouk Hospital was extinguished
after three hours, but that wasn’t fast enough to save the 11 premature
babies while 7 other children and 29 women had to be moved to nearby
    hospitals.
Their Ministry of Health has blamed an electrical fault for the calamity
but that didn’t stop family members who lost their children and loved
    ones from blasting the government.

    Hussein Omar, a 30-year-old builder, told the Associated Press;

“I only found charred pieces of flesh, I want my baby boy and girl back. The government must give them back to me.”

Eshrak Ahmed Jaasar, 41, who was unable to find her four-day-old nephew.

“I came early this morning to see my nephew and his mother, but they
told me about the fire,” she told AP. My nephew is still missing and his
mother was moved to another hospital ward.”

    He added:

“We pay the hospital employees thousands of Iraqi dinars to allow us in
to get our loved ones basic food and milk, which they cannot provide.
It’s a corrupt government that doesn’t care about its citizens and lets
    this happen.”

  • Jonathan using Avengers to destabilise Buhari govt — MEND

Jonathan using Avengers to destabilise Buhari govt — MEND

The Movement for the Emancipation of the
Niger Delta says it has been vindicated by the Reformed Niger Delta
Avengers’ allegation that former President Goodluck Jonathan is a grand
patron of new militant group, the Niger Delta Avengers.
MEND claimed in a statement on Tuesday
that Jonathan was sponsoring the NDA to destabilise the government of
    his successor, President Muhammadu Buhari.
The statement signed by one Jomo Gbomo
was MEND’s response to Jonathan’s denial of the allegation by the RNDA,
linking the ex-President with the new militant group.

The full text of the statement was made available to online news platform, SaharaReporters by MEND.
MEND said it was highly infuriated by
Jonathan’s rebuttal of the RNDA earlier claim, particularly his
declaration that Henry Okah was after his life rather than clear the air
    on the allegation.
The statement said, “MEND cannot hold
brief for the RNDA, which pointedly accused Mr. Jonathan of complicity
in fueling the ongoing Niger Delta crisis and patronising the NDA,
    apparently for political reasons.
“We are, however, quick to point out the fact that the RNDA has merely vindicated MEND’s belief and conviction that
the former President and his cronies, who lost the 2015 presidential
election, were using the illegal and treasonable NDA platform to
    destabilise President Buhari’s government.”

    The
group accused Jonathan of wasting the opportunity of the South-South to
rule the country, accusing him of failing to develop the region when he
was in the saddle as President.

    The
statement added, “Indeed, the problem in the Niger Delta today has
nothing to do with the current administration of President Muhammadu
Buhari. Far from it! The problem is simply the failure of Mr. Jonathan
to address the root issues confronting the region when he was at the
    helms of affairs.
”Even though he was from the
impoverished region and had, by his own admission in numerous
electioneering campaigns, experienced the utter poverty and abject
neglect of the region foisted by successive Nigerian governments and the
international oil companies since the discovery of oil in 1958 at
Oloibiri (a few metres away from his native Otuoke) in Bayelsa State,
Mr. Jonathan disappointingly frittered away the opportunity to rescue
his people when the Nigerian Presidency fortuitously landed on his laps,
virtually on a platter of gold.
For six whole years, Mr. Jonathan was busy drinking, making merry and generally chasing shadows at the State House.
Such a fellow deserves to be ostracised from the assembly of reasonable
men; because the Nigerian Presidency might never come back to the Niger
Delta region as cheap as it came to Mr. Jonathan; perhaps, in the next
    100 years.
“Lest we forget, MEND was at the
forefront of the armed struggle back in 2006/2007 which forced the then
Government of President Olusegun Obasanjo to consider the option of
drafting an Ijaw into the mainstream of Nigerian politics. That was how
the perpetually timid and naïve Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan became
Vice-President and later, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
When he assumed the reins as President, he did the unthinkable; he
tracked down perceived MEND leaders and promptly got them imprisoned on a
trumped-up charge of attempt to assassinate him.
“Up until today, Mr. Jonathan is still suffering from an assassination paranoia complex.

    The
group added that a substantial portion of Jonathan’s statement,
“unfortunately, dwelt on judicial matters which are pending in various
courts in Nigeria and South Africa.”

Man kills 13-year-old boy in Enugu while testing anti-bullet charm prepared for him by a herbalist

A 13-year-old boy was allegedly shot dead by a relative

    protection against bullets.
    According
to the Enugu State Police Command, on August 5th, one Ekene Oluka
killed Obumneme Oluka, and is currently on the run. Ekene had successfully
tested his charms at different occasions on the deceased but the last
    one went awry.

He reportedly covered the young boy’s body with his
concoction, fired a shot which went through his vital organs and left
him unconscious. He was confirmed dead at Attah Memorial Hospital, Aku.
Below is a statement released yesterday by the Command:
    “The
hitherto Amagu Uwani Mgboko Aku of Igboetiti in Enugu state was

same kindred with the deceased had called beckoned on the boy whom
he allegedly used in testing of his gun charms prepared for him by a herbalist for protection.
It was further gathered that the suspect had earlier tested that of the
gun and cutlass on the deceased which allegedly worked out for him
but as he tried to test that of the empty bottle on the deceased, the
bottle broke and caused severe injury on the head of the deceased which
allegedly left him unconscious and was confirmed death after he was rushed
to the hospital. The dead body of the deceased is
now deposited at the hospital mortuary of Attah Memorial Hospital Aku.

Meanwhile, suspect and parents had already deserted their homes to
