    We Have Resolved To Work For The Victory Of Our Party – Ondo State PDP Youth Directorate
    Appearing in a political program tagged Oro Oselu on Crest 96.1 FM Akure, Comrade Victor Oguntoyinbo who is the Head of Ondo PDP Youth Directorate expressed how prepared the PDP and its youth wing are ahead of the Nov 16 Governorship election in the state.
    While answering questions put to him by the presenter, the Head of the Youth Directorate noted that the youth wing has resolved to, in a different dimension, take the bull by the horns by going to the nooks and crannies, creek and hinterlands on the state to propagate the #AgboFessy gospel as it’s the only candidature that is capable of alleviating the suffering of the people of the state.
    He said, “Our Party ideology is people-driven, and our candidate, his running-mate has a history with the people of Ondo State, we have seen how our state has retrogressed economically and development-wise under APC helmsmen, we won’t allow this to continue as we will do everything legitimately possible to ensure we put an end to the draconic rule of APC in our dear state”.
    You will recall that the Youth Directorate inaugurated different campaign committees at the PDP secretariat on Friday, Comrade Victor reiterated that the various committees are put in place to execute the plans of the Youth Directorate towards ensuring victory for the PDP.
    He added, ” We have commissioned ourselves to take up tasks based on our comparative capacities by dividing ourselves into different committees that will take up different tasks aimed at achieving the ultimate goal of victory”.
    When asked about the position of the Party’s Candidate on the verdict of the court regarding the LCDAs created by Former Governor Akeredolu, Comrade Victor responded by saying H.E Agboola Ajayi’s reaction to the verdict is borne out of a genuine desire to see effective governance manifesting at the grassroots level, he said, ” for Someone who was once a Local Government Chairman, the Party Candidate understands the importance of having viable hands with the liberty to work manning the affairs of their people at the local level”.
    He closed the program by reiterating that the PDP candidate is the most experienced of all the candidates and that he is the only one whose administration in previous capacities has a paint of human face.
    He appealed to the people of Ondo State to see beyond the fake promises of the APC and vote based on the current reality of hunger and suffering engineered by the misrule of the APC.

    The Special Adviser to the Osun State Governor on Health Matters, Dr. Adekunle Akindele has lambasted the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun state on the clever but condescending effort to misrepresent the state of the health sector in the state, saying that the APC lacks the temerity to downplay ongoing efforts by the Governor Ademola Adeleke administration to reposition health sector in the state for better effectiveness.
    Dr. Akindele who was reacting to Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, the Osun APC chairman, in a statement released to newsmen on Saturday evening at Osogbo, said bogus assessment of the health sector in the state under Governor Adeleke, said the APC demonstrated a lack of understanding that near-collapsed health sector it left for the Adeleke administration to inherit.
    Dr. Akindele noted that contrary to the narrative that the Osun APC try to sell, Governor Adeleke has taken initiatives and interventions to address the disturbing negligible that the health sector suffered under the APC administration, calling on Sooko Tajudeen Lawal and his ilks to stop living in the denial on the pronounced efforts of Governor Adeleke to achieve a functional and responsive healthcare system in the state.
    “It is unfortunate that Sooko Tajudeen Lawal could attempt to whitewash his party’s sordid record in the health sector. Like I have said on many occasions, the health sector that Governor Adeleke inherited was near-collapse as decaying infrastructure and manpower shortage were glaring reality,” Dr. Akindele noted.
    “That was the situation that Governor Adeleke is working assiduously to correct in order to make qualitative healthcare service a possibility for the people in the state. It is therefore unconscionable that those who should contrition for mismanaging the state’s health sector are the same ones making fuss about a genuine effort to fix their mess.
    “It is worth noting that in the 12 years of the APC administration in Osun state, no employment was made into the health sector. The fictitious 1500 health workers that Sooko Tajudeen Lawal even made reference to were a media stunt as not only was a proper recruitment process conducted but there was no record of them in the state’s civil service. This is why Sooko Tajudeen Lawal and his party have find it so hard to produce just an employment letter of the supposed recruits.”
    Dr. Akindele reiterated the commitment of the Governor Adeleke administration to improve condition of healthcare delivery in the state, said the ongoing rehabilitation and equipping of 345 healthcare facilities in the state is a part of the broader measures to birth a better healthcare system 
    “By the time we conclude the ongoing rehabilitation and equipping of healthcare facilities across the state, we would have solved one of the biggest challenges hampering delivery of qualitative healthcare service. Osun people requiring medical attention will be attended to in a good facility unlike the dilapidated environment under the APC, which frustrate good healthcare delivery,” he added.
    “At the secondary and tertiary level, we are also investing in the infrastructure of facilities to be able to meet the health needs of the people. We are working so hard to buy essential equipments in our healthcare facilities and ensure that Osun people will no longer have to travel distance for healthcare services as was the case under the APC. 
    “The most important thing we are doing is addressing the challenges that sent partner agencies, such as WHO and others out of Osun under the APC, so that the state can tap into the abundant opportunities that their presence offers in terms of healthcare delivery.”

    Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido’s lawyers have sent a letter to singer Oyindamola Emmanuel, known as Dammy Krane, asking him to retract a tweet that he used to label Davido as “murderer” and “cheat.” 
    The tweet made fun of Davido’s upcoming wedding and was seen as hurtful and untrue.
     Dammy Krane had tweeted: “There’s nothing worse than murder #davido. You can have money but not peace #Karma. Ps: Never get married because your girl caught you cheating and you want to suffer. Congratulations Owe B Owe — Big Daddy Krane.”
    Davido’s lawyers in a letter dated, Friday, June 21, emphasised that the Grammy award nominee, a widely known music icon and philanthropist, has never faced charges or been found guilty of any crime, including murder. 
    They insisted that Dammy Krane delete the tweet and stop making false accusations against Davido within 24 hours, or else they would pursue legal measures, seeking compensation and court orders to stop such actions.
    The letter reads: “We are informed by our client that you have repeatedly published statements on your social media platforms that he finds not only defamatory and offensive but which also constitute an act of cyberbullying.
    “Our client has further informed us that whilst in Abuja, he became aware of the latest in your series of defamatory posts, which is your publication of June 21, 2024, which you caused to be published on your X (formerly “Twitter”) page using the handle #dammy_krane, wherein you stated thus: ‘Theres nothing worse than murderr #davido You fit get money but you no fit get peace #Karma
    ” ‘Ps: Dont ever get married because your girl caught you cheating you wan gbe-iya-wo ( Carry suffer look ) Congratulations Owe B Owe — Big Daddy Krane’.
    “The simple imputation to be drawn from this post is that, amongst other reprehensible things, our client is a murderer.
    “Our client vehemently asserts that contrary to the insinuations in your post, he has never been charged with or convicted of any offence, including murder.
     “The malicious nature of your post is also evident from your subsequent post taunting our client and stating that ‘He can’t sue because i speak the truth Oponu’, when in fact you know your allegations to be false and outlandish.
    “The above posts which you published to your over 342, 600 followers on the X platform have been circulated globally and syndicated by hundreds of blogs across the world. Given the status of our client, this post has unsurprisingly gained significant traction globally, and our client is at the time of this letter trending at No. 1 on X Trends for Nigeria, attracting thousands of negative comments and reactions in the process.
    “Your conduct in publishing these statements, despite knowing them to be false, is not only malicious but also orchestrated to defame and injure the reputation of our client, a globally recognized music star. Such actions constitute a civil breach as well as an infraction of the relevant criminal laws.
    “Therefore, we hereby demand that you: 1. Within 24 hours from the date of this letter, remove and retract the offensive publication from all your social media platforms.
    “2. Immediately refrain from any further publication of defamatory statements against our client on any platform whatsoever.
    “Take Notice that your failure to comply with these demands within the stipulated timeframe will compel our client to pursue all available legal remedies, including but not limited to initiating legal proceedings against you for damages and injunctive relief, and escalating this matter to the relevant law enforcement agencies.”

    Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, His Excellency, Agboola Ajayi, has condemned an Ondo State High Court which nullified the creation of 33 Local Council Development Areas.
    Hon Ajayi said the judgment was anti-people and would hinder development of Ondo communities.
    Ajayi, who accused the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of backing the suit, said the people preferred a government that is close to them.
    He said Governor Aiyedatiwa also filed a suit against local government autonomy.
    His words, “The judgment is anti-people. It will be promoting an agenda that will hinder rapid development of the communities.
    “The Ondo State government is behing the suit. They must appeal the judgment. The suit filed by the PDP was not to totalling abrogate the LCDAs but illegal inauguration of Caretake Chairman.
    “If an Owl files at night and a child dies the next day, you do not need to find out the cause of death.”

    The candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) H E Agboola Ajayi has received members of All Progressive Congress into Peoples Democratic Party, PDP at his country home in Okitipupa yesterday evening . 

    The leader of the decampees from Ilaje LG, Obele Felix from Ugbo Ward 5 said after evaluating the scorecard of the current administration of Gov Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa they observed that the administration is characterized with insincerity of purpose, failure to meet up with people’s demands and empty promises which have lowered the standard of living of people and governance in Ondo state. 

    He reasoned that after critical evaluation of the political credentials and goodwill of H. E Chief Alfred Agboola Ajayi, coupled with his records in community development in Ondo state they have concluded that he is the only person worthy and deserving of their support.

    Obele insisted “they are now part of the PDP family in Ondo state” .  

    Also from Arogbo Ward 2, APC leaders have resolved to dissolve into the PDP because according to their leader, Prince Posi Namu Iromidayo and the APC Woman Leader in the Ward, Wonikiribe Ikuenogbon said they decided to come into PDP to join forces with the PDP flagbearer so that together they can take over the state from the current APC govt that has brought more hardship to the people and with no clear vision about how to alleviate poverty in the land.

    ” We will give our best to the PDP and Alfred Agboola Ajayi because we believe the combination of the two will bring succour to Ondo State ” Iromidayo insisted.

    The Peoples Democratic Party ‘s candidate in the scheduled Ondo state gubernatorial election, H.E. Agboola Alfred Ajayi, has charged Muslims to remain dedicated to the service of Allah, show love always and above all, imbibe the spirit of sacrifice.

    Ajayi gave the charge in his goodwill message to Muslims as they begin the Eid-ui-Adha celebration.

    The celebration marks the remembrance of the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son to Allah.

    In the message signed by his spokesman , Sam Ogunmusi and issued in Akure on Saturday, Ajayi said the essence of sacrifice should not be lost on our adherents of the Islamic faith.

    He said Ondo state in particular and Nigeria as a nation, more than ever before, need leaders and followers with the spirit of sacrifice to reset our socio-political and economy for the betterment of the nation and its people.

    The former deputy governor said challenges presently facing the people required the efforts of all citizens to overcome, stressing “only we can solve our problems”

    Ajayi noted that ” as a people loved by Allah, we have great potentials and all that is needed is that we show the right commitment and determination to move our state to its deserved position”

    He said “we are fast approaching that stage again in our state, when we have the opportunity to make sacrifices to enable us live a better life and ensure a better future for our children unlike what obtained at d moment as hardship pervade the state “

    ” Election periods, like we are about to have this year, is an opportunity to give hope to a better life over the current hardship being experienced by our people.

    ” If we can make the sacrifice, by shunning every form of inducements and vote right, we will be the better for it ,as only a government with a human face which the PDP represents, can truly deliver the dividends of democracy and put smiles back on the faces of the people “

    While wishing the people a happy celebration, Ajayi urged them to also impact people around them during the celebration.

    He said “brotherhood, forgiveness, moderation and sacrifice, were some of the lessons of the occasion and urged the people to continue to make the lessons part of their lives, even after the celebration as we continue to pray and work towards a better Ondo State “

    Former Ondo State Deputy Governor and Gubernatorial Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the upcoming gubernatorial poll, HE Chief Alfred Agboola Ajayi has described a former Ondo State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Clement Faboyede as a consummate politician and administrator. This is contained in a statement released on Friday morning to newsmen in Akure and signed by his Media Aide, Wándé T. Àjàyí, to commemorate the birthday of Faboyede.
    “Hon. Clement Faboyede is a good man who as a former State Chairman showed dedication and astuteness to help develop the Party to its current State. His depth of knowledge about Ondo State was brought to bare when he was Commissioner and impacted meaningfully in the lives of our people and the entire State. Your sacrifices to help deepen our democracy will never be quantifiable and we are certain it will be rewarded in no time.” the statement read.
    “On this auspicious occasion of his birthday, I join his immediate family, the people of Igbara Oke and the entire Ifedore LG, Ondo State and members of our political family to wish you a very happy birthday and pray for God’s blessings never to cease in your life and yours.”
    Hon. Clement Faboyede, an Igbara Oke born public administrator, businessman and politician is a member of the National Executive Committee of PDP, former Commissioner of Community Development under Governor Olusegun Mimiko. He was later elected State Chairman of Ondo State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) until he stepped aside in July 2020 after the expiration of his tenure. He is a member of the Ondo State Elders Council, State Caucus, amidst so many roles given to him by the Party.
