AYEDATIWA REMAINS A POLITICAL NOVICE – AGBO AJAYI MEDIA GROUP
Our attention has again been drawn to the reaction of the political camp of Governor Luck Ayedatiwa to our last statement in which we firmly established that he is suffering from “poverty of ideas” and mercifully, this reaction further re-pronounced and re-echoed that fact. The Ayedatiwa administration and Campaign seems not to understand the groundnorm upon which His Excellency, Agboola Ajayi continues to base his criticism of Government on, and it’s vital that we again provide elementary education for them on this score. That judgement says that because the bill was signed into law in Ibadan, it violates the territorial integrity of the State, therfore null and void. For the avoidance of doubt, this remains the compelling reason why we say Government must appeal that decision. If it remains instructive tha Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa does not loose his constitutionally dictated immunity each time he steps out of Ondo State, it means his ranking as Governor is not limited to the territorial confines of our State alone. For the umpteenth time, we must remind the Governor and his team that assignments and official responsibilities dictate that Governors travel outside their States in pursuance of sundry goals, and when they do, the constitutional responsibilities of their office remains intact, resides within them and will thus discharge such, wherever as at when due and that is what late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu did when he gave assent to the LCDA law in Ibadan.Again we must underscore that the letter that transmitted power to Lucky Ayedatiwa as acting Governor was not written in Akure, but sent from the late Governor’s sick bed in Germany, so why for any insidious reason(s) will Ayedatiwa allow any jejune reason to curtail the constitutional powers of the Governor by not appealing the verdict of that Akure High Court? For instance, the Council of State meetings, NEC meetings holds in the Presidency, Abuja and even the Governor’s Forum meetings that hold anywhere in the country, Governors enter into commitments on behalf of their States and sign documents in that regard, therefore, such actions by the Ondo State Governor will remain illegal as far as the verdict which nullified the LCDA law is concerned, if not appealed and overturned, this is the simple lesson H E Agboola Ajayi has been trying to teach H E Lucky Ayedatiwa and we hope he learns quickly that what he thinks is a delicious pot of soup today does not become an albatross tomorrow.Ayedatiwa must also learn from our recent history that Presidents Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and Muhammadu Buhari signed bills into law on their sick beds abroad and such laws remain in force today because the powers and authority vested in the President remained in force with them while in power, irrespective of wherever they were in the world. This again underscores the institutionality of powers of the office of the Preident and Governors is deeply ingrained in the person holding them.In Britain for instance, we saw that power of the monarchy was still upon the late Queen Elizabeth up to the point of her internment before it was eventually removed from her corpse. With our summation so far on the LCDA issue, we are sure we have taught a lesson and will not say additional words any longer. While we do not begrudge Ayedatiwa and his team over their gloating of creation of new eleven judicial divisions, we need to let them know that the Governor merely assented to a proposal from the Judiciary that desires expansion so as to guarantee the portability of justice delivery, we do not see how a routine discharge of administrative responsibilities can become a solid achievement of an administration that is in office for that purpose.Obviously, Ondo State is currently at its very low ebb, people who do not possess remote understanding of how government works now parade the corridors of power and invade our space with inanities, imagine Sunday Olugbenga Abire, Special Assistant to the Governor not knowing the difference between an election and a plebiscite, that further confirms that poverty of ideas remains prevalent in this administration. It is in view of this that we demand from the people of this State to take due cognisance of the cesspool of errors that now characterise governance in our State. We desire a Government that will work for the people and accentuate their interests, for instance, of the four States under the BEDC, the electricity company serving Edo, Delta, Ondo and Ekiti, Ondo State continues to have lesser allocation of power, with areas of Akure not having light for days, and when they do, for a paltry two or three hours only, yet Government remains unconcerned as it simply does not know what to do.It might be news to them that Ekiti State enjoys more presence of electricity because its Government took on that Disco company vigorously, while ours merely carouse and dance to “Ma ba ja” chorus endlessly, thereby carelessly abandoning its basic responsibilities endlessly. We make bold to say that the November 16th election will be a defining moment for this State. It will robustly establish that our people will discard the pettiness associated with the current administration and take a firm leap forward by voting for content and quality, voting PDP is the way to go.Our desire to rectify these anomalies dictate that the PDP candidate, Agboola Ajayi who possess requisite experience and a vast understanding of political and administrative applications be elected as Governor. -

Davido and Sophia Should Settle Out Of Court – Dele Momodu
By DELE MOMODU
Last night, I received a distressing message from Mr David Adeleke (aka Davido). He was obviously devastated by the counter-affidavit submitted in court, earlier in the day, in response to his affidavit seeking a joint custody of his daughter with my niece Sophia Momodu.
I had seen David’s affidavit about two weeks ago and I was very surprised as David and I had spoken on a video call days earlier, with him and Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, and he never told me he had any custody issues with my niece. So you can imagine my confusion to find out via social media and subsequently confirmed by my niece that he had filed an action in court seeking joint custody of their daughter.
During the referenced video call, we were all very excited about his forthcoming wedding ceremony, an event our family congratulated him about. Prior to this, David had told me he eventually spoke to their daughter, after a long lull of about two years.
He was very happy and excited. So I thought everything was settled and he and Sophia would now have the opportunity of taking maximum care of their daughter. I had offered special thanks to David’s Dad, Dr Adedeji Adeleke, for his kindness and support for our daughter during the period of David’s absence.
I had also taken Sophia and their daughter to my very dear friend, Governor Ademola Adeleke, seeking his intervention. To the best of my knowledge, there was never a problem of joint custody. The issues were: non-payment of school fees for several sessions; non-payment of accommodation and salaries of a nanny. There was no car dedicated to David’s daughter. And so on. Mercifully, I mentioned all to Dr Adedeji Adeleke and he responded positively, like a true grandfather. On the issue of non-payment of school fees, David’s Dad cleared everything and also set up payments of future bills. He gave his grand daughter a car to take her to school. The remaining issue was on accommodation.
David’s Dad verbally offered, in his discussions with me, one of their family apartments in Oniru Estate, Victoria Island, however, maybe due to miscommunication, David’s lawyers had communicated otherwise. After Sophia clarified from me, she politely declined the offer, and her reason was tenable in my view, because, since she’s not married to David, she can’t be comfortable living in a place swarming with David’s family members.
She and her daughter had been living in Ikoyi before David and Sophia started their latest quarrels. Sophia’s request was that David should pay half of the accommodation while she would pay the other half. David said he could only contribute N5million annually.
My opinion is that the absence of camaraderie between David and Sophia has caused this debacle. I have cautioned repeatedly that their daughter must not be allowed to suffer or be treated like a second class child. David’s global status makes this imperative.
Sophia allowed David access to their daughter provided she has her nanny around 24/7. The 9-year old herself made this request and I believe this should be favorably considered and accepted. My grand niece had been released to go out with her cousins on several occasions.
The Governor’s daughter, Nike, was at Sophia’s house with the Governor’s grandson last Christmas Day, despite the fact that there wasn’t ample notice & she still granted access.
Two months ago, the Governor’s son, Sina Rambo, requested a play date between the kids & Sophia rented out a children’s place in Victoria Island for them to spend hours together. The only time she couldn’t join her father’s family was when her grandfather requested to go on vacation with her for three weeks last year, as the notice was too short, and Sophia had already paid for their own trips, due to lack of communication between the parents.
The court yesterday referred the case for possible settlement by the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) section of the court during Settlement Week and I strongly advise that David (and Sophia) engage truly with the process as opposed to making harmful and irreversible statements on social media which not only violate the law but the interest of their child. I have in the past 9 years tried my best to ensure amicable resolution of disputes and encouraged both parents to have a proper structure put in place for the welfare of their daughter. It is important to note that Sophia did not instigate this court action and is only seeking to protect their daughter and ensure that there is a structured, safe and sustainable manner in which father and child can engage with each other.
The vitriolic rhetoric in the media should be avoided by all means as this only further inflames what is already a traumatic experience for all parties involved, especially the child in question.

#Ondo2024: Ayedatiwa Suffering From Poverty Of Ideas – Agboola Ajayi
The PDP Gubernatorial candidate, His Excellency, Agboola Ajayi has accused his All Progressive Congress counterpart, Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa of suffering from poverty of ideas over his continuing lack luster approach to governance since he accidentally became chief helmsman in Ondo State. The remark is contained in a statement issued in Akure on Thursday , by Ayo Fadaka, Head of Media Group of the PDP candidate , in apparent reaction, to a statement credited to the Aiyedatiwa’s Campaign Group’s abusive remark following Ajayi’s condemnation of the Governor’s role in the recent court ruling, anuling the creation of LCDA’s in the state.Accusing the APC candidate of “lacking managerial initiatives and competence” the PDP candidate said Aiyedatiwa’s submission that he allowed the court to sack the new councils, because he can recreate them, is “the height of managerial deficicieny predicated on a glaring lack of requisite administrative experience required to function as Governor.According to Fadaka, Aiyedatiwa’s excuse for allowing the litigation against the LCDA’s is not only lame, but also exposed his cowardly and anti developmental stance occasioned by a lack of vision, propelled by incurable hatred for his late boss and benefactor who initiated the creation of LCDAs which he signed to law in his twilight days.Ayedatiwa’s pettiness and inexperience blurred his vision to appreciate opportunities the LCDA’s would have provided in bringing development to the grassroots.A competent Governor would rather have make justifiable adjustments as dictated by people’s desires and demands to accommodate agitations arising from the LCDA law to amend it, rather than to acquiesce to conspiratorial actions to destroy the exercise.“It is only a petty wayfarer oblivious of the invested efforts, time and resources that went into the exercise that will threat as inconsequential an action that does not align with his desires, when in actual fact he occupies a position to dictate an amendment. Also reacting to the APC’s candidate’s allegation of PDP leaders breeding thugs, Fadaka said “we are experieced politicians, grounded in our communities, pursuing over the years the need for absolute good conduct in politiking and sustaining the peace and progress of our environment. We are however not oblivious of Ayedatiwa’s trademark of perpetration of political violence against his co contestants for the APC ticket before and during their primary election, we however warn that he desist from travelling on that route any further as we assure that our seeming civility is not an act of cowardice. We urge the APC candidate not to push us towards the 1983 scenario in Ondo State because of his ill conceived desperation to hold on to power without merit will be adamantly resisted and vanquished by all the good people of Ondo State. We demand that he demobilise all those hitmen he mobilized to prosecute his primary election forthwith.”“We also call on community and religious leaders to impress on Ayedatiwa that violence breeds no gain or good as it is always counterproductive, the APC should in all good purpose seek to work honestly in pursuing its goal and stop boasting about an intent to compromise the election as that is a goal that will be unattainable, we are irrevocably committed to making our votes count, and that is a task we will vigorously pursue.”“The amateurish attempt at diverting people’s focus from the real breeder of thugs in the state has failed, just as the attempt to continue to hold the state in the jugular by a failed government will ultimately fail in November” the statement registered. -

Ondo Redemption Front Urges Governor Aiyedatiwa to Investigate and Reclaim Fraudulently Allocated Lands in State Farm Settlements
The foremost civil society group in Ondo State, Ondo Redemption Front has urged the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to investigate the allocation of farmlands in the State’s agricultural settlements. The group alleged that there have been fraudulent allocations and exploitation of land.According to the group, the previous administration’s initiative to reallocate agricultural lands in the State’s farm settlements has not fully achieved its intended purpose. The group claimed that some individuals who acquired the lands at a subsidized rate intended for investors have exploited the opportunity by subletting or reselling the lands to local farmers at much higher prices. In a statement released to the press by the Publicity Director of ORF, Yomi Adebayo, and signed by the chairman of the group, Comr. Ayodeji Ologun, it was alleged that some of the past government officials exploited the opportunity by acquiring the lands at the low rate intended for investors, only to sublet them at much higher prices.“In some cases, these plots were resold to local farmers at rates as high as 10,000 Naira per plot, significantly inflating the cost and undermining the initiative’s intended purpose.“This is a clear case of theft from both the government and the people of Ondo State. It’s a betrayal of public trust and an exploitation of our local farmers.“In light of this, the ORF is tasking the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to take immediate action. We are demanding a thorough investigation into the allocation process to determine how the lands were distributed and who benefited from the scheme. We also urge the government to protect the rights of the displaced farmers, either by restoring them to their lands or by providing alternative farming opportunities.” The group said. The group also urged the Government of Ondo State to reclaim the lands that were allocated under fraudulent circumstances and stressed the importance of transparent and fair future allocations to prevent similar issues from arising.“This situation underscores the critical need for transparency and accountability in the management of public resources and highlights the importance of policies that genuinely benefit the community,” ORF concluded. -

LCDA: Aiyedatiwa Failed Leadership Test – Agboola Ajayi
The Peoples Democratic Party’s Gubernatorial candidate in the scheduled Governorship election in Ondo state, H.E Agboola Ajayi, has blamed the recent court ruling, against Local Council Developing Areas, (LCDA) in the state, on the failure of the Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to provide viable leadership.
Ajayi said this in the state capital, Akure, on Monday, where he addressed journalists to clarify issues raised on his earlier comment on the court ruling, which he said the opposition tried unsuccessfully to misinterpret against him.
Explaining his reaction in its original context, Ajayi said “the court has no blame to share in the unfortunate rulling against the LCDAs, as it only adjudicated on a case brought before it”
The PDP candidate submitted however, that every blame regarding the issue should be heaped on the state Governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa, who he stressed, failed to provide leadership when needed.
According to Ajayi, a responsive leadership with no ulterior motive, would have resolved issues around the LCDA creation before it gets to the court.
” I am putting the whole blame regarding this LCDA issue on Gov Lucky Ayedatiwa. He has no excuse whatsoever to allow the case to get to the court because, whichever way we want to look at it, when he assumed office as acting governor and later a substantive Governor , he automatically becomes the custodian of both the assets and liabilities of the government.
” In other words, whatever it was that may have caused issues regarding the LCDA creation should have been administratively handled by him without a recourse to the court. I want to sincerely believe that those who took the matter to court, would have written one or two petitions to government, stating thier grievances, but proceeded to court when the leadership failed them”
Also as an authority in local government matters, Ajayi said “I understand local government administration as the closest to the people. There are tendencies, we know all that but we can’t throw the baby away with the bath water” Ajayi maintained.
Insisting that the governor should be held responsible for whatever lapse the court ruling may have caused Local Government administration in the state, Ajayi said ” I blame the government for the inability to live up to it’s leadership role in the state most especially, as it affects the hues and cries over the LCDA creation .
“Lucky Ayedatiwa was an acting governor at the time the issue started , he should have resolved the issues before it went to court. I don’t blame the court for it’s judgement but Aiyedatiwa for not tackling the issue from the beginning.
Further lamenting the sour condition of the state under the present leadership, Ajayi said “When I am the governor, I would put up a better arrangement that would make the people happy than what is on ground today. Governance is more than blowing siren up and down without having the gut for proper governance of the state”.the former deputy governor registered.”
