The State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Barrister Oluseye J. Olujimi, has resigned his membership of the party.
Olujimi announced his resignation in a letter dated September 23, 2026, addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Igbara-Oke Ward 1, Ifedore Local Government Area.
In the letter titled “Notice of Resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” the lawyer said his resignation took effect immediately and also brought to an end his service as the party’s State Secretary.
He expressed gratitude for the relationships, experiences and opportunities the party afforded him, while wishing the PDP and its members well. He, however, did not disclose the reason for his decision or his next political move.
Olujimi is a longstanding member of the Ondo PDP and has held key positions within the party. He served as State Secretary after the 2020 state congress and was re-elected to the position under the leadership of Barr. Victor Modupe Aisida, who emerged as State Chairman at the party’s September 2025 congress.
His resignation represents a significant development in the organisation of the Ondo PDP as political activities and realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections intensify.
As of the time of his resignation letter, Olujimi did not disclose his next political destination or indicate whether he would join another political party or political platform.
